In partnership with the Rainier Volunteer Library, Timberland Regional Library (TRL) opened a library service kiosk in our library in January 2010. The TRL kiosk is equipped with two computer stations. One computer provides access to the TRL web site, library catalog, and reference databases. The second computer allows patrons to check out Rainier Volunteer Library materials, or their TRL holds that have been delivered to the Rainier Volunteer Library.
If you would like to pick up your TRL holds at the Rainier Volunteer Library, make sure that Rainier Volunteer Library is specified as your holds drop off site on your Library account. You may check your account online, or call the “Ask A Librarian” service during TRL regular business hours to check or change your drop site.
Although patrons may pick up and checkout their TRL holds at the Rainier Library, there are no Timberland library materials housed at this location.
Timberland library card holders can also access the TRL library catalog from home, school, office, or another TRL library to place a hold on an item for pickup at the Rainier Library.
Any Timberland or Rainier Library materials may be returned to the Rainier Library, any TRL Library, or dropped off at any TRL book drop.
Currently, the closest book drop is in front of Rainier City Hall, 102 Rochester W (across the street from the Post Office). Plans are being made to move it closer to the Rainier Library.
